CBG is the parent cannabinoid (precursor) to more commonly known cannabinoids such as THC and CBD. Typically, hemp plants will start their cannabinoid profile out with majority CBGa, but throughout the maturation process, the CBGa converts to primarily THC and CBD. CBG plants are different in that this conversion does not occur, leaving a high percentage of CBGa. Like THC and CBD, CBG has been shown in studies to help reduce inflamation, especially that associated with Inflammatory Bowel Disease.*
